The smell of untouched pages, the first crackle of the binding breaking open into your hands…..you’ve waited for this moment.

You’ve skimmed every aisle at the bokstores, you’ve weighed your options, you’ve read the backs of the books and studied the shelves of “suggested reading” and now, you’ve chosen THE ONE. You settle into your comfortable place, legs crossed, anticipation PALPABLE….and then, you open the page.

NIRVANA Through LOVE

Butterflies. It’s the 100th time you’ve seen him, you’ve touched her face, you’ve kissed his lips and still, butterflies. He wraps his arms around you, you feel her heart. She whips away the stray curl and looks into your eyes, you’re the only two people in a crowded room.

He holds you while you sleep, she stands by you when you’re feeling lost. You experience, you grow, you engage, you FEEL….you’re consumed.

NIRVANA Through Getting Crafty

It starts as a blank page. A ball of yarn. A stick of glue. It starts off as nothing, until you put your hands on it….and CREATE. You trim, you sew, you imagine and you produce. Your fingers are sticky, your wrists are sore, your kitchen table is a mess with bits and pieces of fabric and threads….you toil away.

…and then, after hours, days, months- IT the nothing becomes SOMETHING. You’ve used your energy to turn ordinary things into art.

….10pm, the night comes to an end. The sound of the babies mobile slowly fades out, ten piles of laundry sit folded- perfectly, the kitchen is clean, and in the background your husband snores contently after eating a warm meal and fresh baked bread. Now, the last moments are yours…..you’ve poured yourself a glass of wine, you’ve baked muffins for the morning….you ARE the domestic goddess.

NIRVANA Through A Day at the Beach

The smell of freshly applied sunscreen wafts through the hair, tiny dots of sand stick to your hands from the moisture….the sun beats down on your face, your lips are plump and warm from the heat. Beads of sweat trickle down your forehead, onto your brow, and slide down your eyelashes. Your collar bones collect tiny puddles, and the sounds of the waves crashing lulls you quietly to sleep, only to be awoken by the seagulls overhead.

Your feet are burried deep beneath the sand, into the cool wet mud….you breathe. AH…..

NIRVANA Through Climbing a Mountain

Your lungs are burning, your legs weak from the climb, but your mind is strong….you step ahead, one step at a time, you’re closer to the top. You breathe in the thin air, the cold takes your breathe away….but you keep going, one step at a time. You’re almost there, the view is overwhelming, you’ve made it…your mind has proven stronger than your body….

NIRVANA Through Travel

Your bags are packed. You’ve done the research, you’ve stowed away your belongings, you are awaiting a journey. You seek the local foods, you read the foreign signs and listen to passing conversations that you don’t understand. You’re independant, you’re AWAY, you’re brought into the present because everything you’re experiencing is NEW and exciting.

You’re creating stories, snapping pictures, imagining what it’d be like to call this “home.”
