Walk the Cherry Walk & More
You can walk the "Cherry Walk" over at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens this spring and enjoy the blooming flowers, plants and wildlife over the course of the summer.
Cherry People
Great photo opps at the gardens…
Crazy entertaining names…
Interesting plant species
The flowers are colorful and the plant names are entertaining (i.e. “Chocolate Flower”, “American Onion”, “Creeping Mint” and even “Stinking Helebore”!)
Take pictures of people taking pictures
The gardens may also appear in an avid photographer’s dreams!
Japanese Hill & Pond turtle
Visit the Japanese Hill and Pond to see the adorable turtles sun bathing on the rocks.
Triumph Tulips
Allow a little bit of color (especially pink) into your life ;-)
Family & Friend time
Whether it’s a warm, sunny day or a dreary, rainy one, you’ll be joined by many families, groups of friends and avid photographers who are there to witness the beautiful pink cherry blossoms in their prime. Both the sun and the rain have an equally beautiful effect on the natural wonders of this 52-acre garden within a garden.

Relax in a setting that could easily be mistaken for a beautiful painting.
It’s Hanami season at the gardens!
Just take the 2 or 3 trains to the Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum stop or the B or Q to nearby Prospect Park. While you’re there, you’ll even get a great view of The Brooklyn Museum which neighbors the gardens to their right.
