Sunshine Career Institute was founded on January 7, 2005 with the vision of providing great education for all of our students. Courses are provided in Health Care Services, Security, and Traffic. With the current economic challenges our goal is to prepare our students to be very diverse and suitable for any job. Small classes are provided here at SCI to ensure individual attention as well as hands on training for all of our students. Courses are offered in different languages such as Creole, English, and Spanish. The courses we offer here at Sunshine Career Institute are as follows: Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Phlebotomy Technician, Electrocardiograph Aide (EKG), Security 24hr, 16hr, G license, and concealed weapons.

If you’re looking to become a nurse assistant within the state of Florida then you’re eventually going to need to pass a very tough examination process to get licensed. That’s where we come in…

We can provide you with the most up to date information available on each of the 21 required procedures in order to prep you for your Florida nursing exam. 

Not only that, but we are also a regional testing site for the state of Florida. Therefore, you are able to take your state exam in the same clinical room and with the same equipment that you have used in your training. You can study all of the material at home, following our suggested schedule.

With our training course we will be presenting you with a great deal of information in a very short time frame. The material is presented in the required testing format, and you can be assured that the material is accurate and as up to date as possible.

This hands on training course shows you each skill exactly as the state examiner will need to see it performed. We do not waste your time by adding in unnecessary material that you will not use on the Florida exam.

After you have received your classroom instruction, we suggest that every student continues to study the material at home until their test date arrives. We will also advise students on how to adjust their testing date in accordance with their own comfort and comprehension levels.

The Florida CNA exam consist of two portions; a 60 question written portion, as well as a 35 minute clinical (demonstration) portion. The State of Florida requires all individuals to have completed the required security officer training school and obtain a license as either an Unarmed Class “D” License or Armed Class “D” & “G” License. You must not poses and felonies within ten years and you may not poses and misdemeanors with in 2 years. You may be 18yrs of age or older to work as an armed security officer.
