Why do I crave -- and I mean, noon hits and it's like a switch flips -- Bloody Mary's on Sunday afternoon? Who's with me here?

Green olives NEED to be in my Bloody Mary.

The best Bloody I’ve ever had: a spicy mix topped with a toothpick stacked with green olives (yum!). My favorite!

The Barnacle

This is where I became a Bloody Mary fiend: they don’t use a mix, and simply mix tomato juice, tabasco, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, and a couple of other simple adds together to make one of the tastiest, refreshing Bloodys I’ve ever had.

The classic Bloody Mary mix

1 1/2 ounces (1 jigger) vodka
1/2 cup tomato juice
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
Worcestershire sauce to taste
Tabasco to taste
1 celery stick for garnish
1 lemon wedge for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, 1 cup ice cubes, and salt and pepper to taste.  Shake the mixture well, and strain it into a tall glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with the celery stick and the lemon wedge.
