My favorite albums of 2008
Well guys, the year is coming to an end. Let's look back on some of 2008's best music.
#1: No Kids - "Come Into My House"
The best album no one has ever heard of. A beautiful and creative mixture of piano-pop, calypso, techno, and even barbershop!
#3: No Age - "Nouns"
For fans of noise rock and shoegazer. It’s hard to believe that only two people made all this noise!
#5: Death Cab for Cutie - "Narrow Stairs"
Not as good as “Transatlanticism” or “The Photo Album,” but DCFC still delivered a great album this year.
#2: Times New Viking - "Rip It Off"
Times New Viking made a huge noise this year (literally) with this album. Behind the ultra-lo-fi production and heavy distortion lies a collection of great, catchy songs.
#4: Vampire Weekend - "Vampire Weekend"
Preppy indie pop with African percussion. Can’t get any better than that!
#6: Santogold - "Santogold"
What genre would you put Santogold in? How about “good music?” Yep, works for me!
