I Hate the T: Alternative Modes of Transportation in Boston

I hate Boston's public transportation system. In particular, I hate the T. With a passion. But what are my other options for getting around the city, right? No, really. What are my other options? I need to know! When you're just not in the mood for Boston's crowded subways, how to you get from one spot to another?

Look in the window. That looks like fun, doesn’t it? Not.

There’s absolutely nothing worse than being on the green line during rush hour. You can’t move. People smell. You can’t breathe. You get dizzy. Etc. Etc. I am not a fan.

Subway Station During Rush Hour

Even getting to the T during rush hour is a huge pain. This makes me want to go hide under my bed.

Alternate Mode of Transport: WALKING

I’d SO much rather walk through the city. Even while carrying lots of grocery bags. Luckily, Boston isn’t huge and is actually called “the walking city,” but it’s not always easy. I’ve been known to walk from one end of the city to the other, even if it takes me 2 hours. Just to avoid the T.
