Dont Miss this spot
This place rocks! Its as close to Nirvana (not the band) as you can get. Start off with (#1) the fact that you can log on with your laptop via the FREE high speed hot spot. I didn’t know about that till I saw a bunch of guys in the corner and they were all hooked in to what they called an All-Hands Meeting, some sort of teleconfrence or something. They said they did that sort of thing all the time. (#2) The new managment has a great attitude. They dont try and push unwanted food or condiments on you. If you dont ask for it they dont try and force it on you or try to push the stuff that is aging so they dont have to throw it out. I LIKE that in a business… the fact that they respect YOUR wishes.
Whos looking out for you?
(#3) The management has your back. Not only do they let you have your food your way but they try to keep out the Undesireables. Dont get your hackles up in a hunch! Im not saying that they dont serve the homeless or anything like that, they just try to encourage the clientel that fits the ambience. Take this morning for example. I was sitting in the corner with my trusty Banana Jr. Laptop surfing the latest develpments in Texas with the FLDS when this guy comes in packing a HUMONGOUS refill mug. He looked a little shady just from the ballcap he was wearing but hey me with my bermuda shorts and green flip-flops wasn’t trying to make any judgments. Next thing I know hes arguing with the newly awarded emplyee of the week about sauces or burning sauce or something…. anyway the manager promptly encouraged him to look elsewhere if he wanted that kind of sandwich.

He even made sure to wish the ballcaped sauce seeker a nice day. He and the employee of the week both had big smiles on their faces. Its nice to know that good old fashoned down home service still exisists today.

I think I’ve been in there…once. That guy with the button on his lapel was there. I ordered a Knickerbocker grilled with extra cheese. The venomous look he gave me may have been what actually grilled the cheese (do they even do that!?) As I paid with my debit card (of course) for my hunk of Roast beef and hearty bread, I timidly asked, “Uh…so, hey…can you…uh…stamp this card…?” Scary!

I personally like the crew with no cheese and the roll WELL toasted. I stick with the reg meat portion. (Gotta save a little room in those arteries for some platelettes.) Be sure to bring an extra 50 cents in case the mood for sauce hits ya at the last minute. Que Aprovechen!

Definitely one of the better places for Good quality Breakfast Sangwiches! Next time try getting the Crew with Double Meat! Whew! You can eat half for B-fast, and save the other half for lunch. Or better yet? use a Buy one Get one Free and get TWO of the CREWS both with Double Meat!!! YEAH, MEAT!!!
