The best bowling alley to take a first date. Classy place, nice lanes, quality food and drinks. It is also way too expensive and full of yuppie jerks. But hey, maybe that’s your thing.

I really love this old school suburban bowling alley. The crowd here is exactly what you would expect. Time marches on but at Bowlero it will always be 1983.

A nice big bowling alley with cheap priced beer and plenty of lanes. The only frustrating thing here are the serious league bowlers who seem to be in control of the joint every time I go in. C’mon people, how seriously can you take any “sport” that you can play while eating nachos and drinking beer?

This new and fancy “family fun center” is okay, but it is a long way from downtown and they frown on you getting drunk and swearing. What fun is that? Family Fun, I guess.

This is a great little bowling alley for a birthday party or group outing. It’s cheap and never too crowded and the staff is unfailingly friendly. Most important: the draft beer is cold and cheap.

I used to know a Lakewood cop and he always said that this bowling alley was the centerpoint of all drug and gang violence in the entire city. I don’t know if that is true, but it is what he always said. All I know is that at night they turn on the blacklights for the glow-in-the-dark “twilight bowling”. It’s not nearly as cool as it sounds.

This giant entertainment center has seen better days. The bowling alley is okay but you can see that it has been a long time since anyone really put their heart into the facility. I have recently heard a rumour that the place has been sold and will soon be renovated. I hope this is true. I had many happy times here when I was 18.
