Comfort Food in San Francisco
Where are the places you go to in San Francisco when you just want to satisfy that hunger? When all you're looking for is just comfort food, something you know will curb your hunger in the best way possible.
Steak at only $13.49 (plus tax). Comes with baked potato, garlic bread and salad. If you are looking for great inexpensive steak, go to Tad’s. This is good steak. Another good thing: After stuffing yourself here, you can walk around Union Square afterwards to burn all that extra pounds off. Because you will gain a few extra pounds with their steak.

Their mushroom burger is just juicy and tasty. And they offer several sauce that you can mix with your burger. My personal favorite: barbeque sauce.

When I’m too lazy to cook, I come here to stock up on their hot food or salad bar. Spend just $3 for a meal. It’s not a typical fast food but hey good, fast, inexpensive food doesn’t come with a lot of perks.

Comfort food means to me a huge vegetarian burrito with all the fixings. Tons of rice, beans (pinto), sour cream like it’s my job to eat sour cream, avocado up the hoo hoo, tons of salsa, cilantro, onions, and all made with that special El Farolito touch. After eating one of these bricks, I have a burrito baby in my tummy for three days and I can’t go number two until next Tuesday, but it’s worth it.
