Rare Bar and Grill is hamburger heaven. I walked across this little slice of meaty goodness with a pal last fall. We went back with another bovine loving friend soon after. This location is rather small [there is another location that is rumored to be larger], but it is cozy and the bar is welcoming. Our wait was to be 45 minutes. Should we stay or should we go? We decided to tough it out, so to reward our patience the manager offered us drinks on the house to sip on. The service was excellent and we were later approached by the manager who gave us coupons for our next meal.

I Suggest:

  • Any Burger (I got the “rare” classic topped with goat cheese for $10.50)
  • Sweet Potato Fries with Honey Maple Dip (mmmmmmmmmm)
  • M&M Burger (flambeed in whiskey, with caramelized shallots, cheddar, and bacon)

Pros: great service, fair prices [expect to pay $20/person], AWESOME food
Cons: small, tends to get rather loud as the crowds increase, crowded
