The 12th Annual Irish Film Festival, Boston will take place between March 24th and 27th and presents an award-winning lineup of Irish feature films, shorts and documentaries that celebrate the very best of Ireland and the Irish on screen – past, present and future. The 4-day event is part of Imagine Ireland, Culture Ireland’s year of Irish arts in America. The Festival’s opening night will take place at the Stuart Street Playhouse in Boston’s theater district on Thursday, March 24th and from Friday, March 25th to Sunday, March 27th, it will be stationed at the historic Somerville Theater in Davis Square, Somerville. The last weekend in March promises to please. Screenings are varied, stories are vast, and strong in multi-cultural content. The Irish Film Festival, Boston is a gateway for Irish and foreign film in general and brings the world of visual story-telling to a place that has appeal across the masses. Save the Dates: March 24 – 27, 2011; Stuart Street Playhouse and Somerville Theater. Tickets to each screening are $9. All receptions are free. A special All Access Festival Pass (allowing you access to all screenings and receptions) is available for $75.
