Ever since I moved back to LA I've been a serial neighborhood hopper. And why not? In a city as large and sprawling as LA it seems a shame not to explore its many, many neighborhoods. Here are my personal faves.

Say what you will about Tender Greens (it has its haters) but I love this place. At one point I was determined to try every salad on the menu, but I gave up just because I love the flat iron steak salad (which comes with beets!!!) so much and I want it every time I go there. P.S. The BBQ chipotle chicken isn’t a bad choice either.

I LOVE this restaurant. It’s pretty simple: just soups, salads, and hot plates (think meat and potatoes), but everything here is very fresh and tasty. I LOVE this place. I think it’s great value for money and I love the food. It’s mostly a salad place, but there are also soups and hot plates, which cater to salad-hating types who like their meat and potatoes. I highly recommend the steak salad. And if it’s warm enough, you should definitely sit on the outdoor patio.
