Did SATC really launch the nation-wide cupcake craze? Perhaps. After Carrie and Miranda pow wowed over cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery, the bakery was swamped with ladies who wanted to be one of the girls. Could Sprinkles be the cupcakery that started all this madness??? Possibly. While many swear by Sprinkles (you can usually find most of these people waiting in a long line that snakes out of the shop and onto the sidewalk), others find the cupcakes way too sweet. Still, they offer a fun selection of flavors like chai latte, ginger lemon, and cinnamon sugar.

Even though the whole cupcake craze of 2002 seems to be behind us, there always manages to be a line out the door at Sprinkles. Yay, diabetes!
This cupcake place usually has a line out the door on weekends. But truthfully, the cakes are overpriced and not worth the wait. You’re better off whipping some up at home and saving your money.
