One preemptive caveat here, this is not the best place to write. But it does have free WiFi and maybe if you are not easily distracted, it might be OK for you.
This hip coffee shop/cafe on a cool stretch of Franklin Ave. is a hangout for many Hollywood wannabe types. You can kick back in their vaguely Moroccan themed lounge and take in various conversations about pitch sessions or skinny jeans.
Complaints: The music is loud and oddly incongruous with the vibe. It’s not a club, guys, it’s a coffee shop. Also, the name is pretty lame.
This artsy coffee shop is a good alternative to the screenwriter who’s tired of the Coffee Bean scene. People complain that the music is loud, it’s too dark, and coffee is lousy, but that doesn’t stop this joint from filling up.
