Golden Gardens is a beautiful, beach-front park that offers opportunities for gorgeous views of the Puget Sound, as well as great place for picnics, barbeques and long strolls. The park is located near the Ballard area, in Loyal Heights. Visitors can hike along the park's rugged coastal cliffside, or take a jaunt along the 2.2 mile forest-loop.

Just west of Ballard, Golden Gardens is another ideal location for getting your tan on. The Gardens are large enough that you nearly never have to worry about getting a place on the beach. Be forewarned, since Golden Gardens is on Elliott Bay, the water will be most definitely frigid.

Golden Gardens boasts Seattle’s only real sandy beach. Home to beach volleyball, barbeques, and sunbathers during the day, Golden Gardens also has firepits where you can gather with your friends at night.
As the first place I ever saw a dried-out Christmas tree turn into a towering pillar of flame, Golden Gardens will always have a special place in my heart.
