Marked by gorgeous waterfalls and streams, awe-inspiring granite cliffs and dense forests, Yosemite National Park has diverse ecosystems that are a pleasure to explore and enjoy. In all, the park has over 800 miles of hiking trails and 350 miles of roads to explore: far more than you could travel during one, or even many, visits. Falling a height of 2,425 feet, Yosemite Falls are some of the tallest in the world and other sights, like the Half Dome and Yosemite Valley offer sights that are one-of-a-kind. Located just under 100 miles north of Fresno and just over 100 miles from Modesto, the park is hugely popular during the spring and summer months. If you're looking for a campsite, make reservations well in advance as they often fill up months ahead of time.
