A gem of a park with a new playground, decent size field, huge cottonwoods, and horseshoe pits. Platt Park was actually the site of the Town of South Denver’s City Hall. South Denver was a separate, dry city from Denver until it was annexed at some point. This park also has a Denver city library branch and a rec center housed in original late 1800s structures.
