I live in Allston (a small neighborhood of Boston), have done so for two years, and will likely do so for at least one more. People consistently (and occasionally accurately) dismiss it as a filthy den of sin populated entirely by drunken young maniac...

The quintessential “horrible restaurant that takes advantage of drunks,” expect Redneck’s to also be included in my upcoming best places in Boston to see a fistfight guide. Word is that the owner of Redneck’s has somehow strong-armed the area into ensuring his greasy, limp, foul-smelling game is the only late-night one in town. The Allston pizza scene at large is often talked down, but Redneck’s is perhaps the most grievous offender.

One distinguishing characteristic of the Redneck’s fistfight is that you’ll often see drunken fools biting off more than they can chew, picking fights with people several times their size or strength before getting throttled in seconds.
