Waukesha [ˈwɑkəˌʃɑ]is a city in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 64,825. It is the county seat of Waukesha CountyGR6. The city is located adjacent to the Town of Waukesha. Its name comes from the Ojibwe word Waagoshag, meaning "foxes."
