Clinton (IPA: /ˈklɪnt.n̩/, locally /ˈklɪn.nən/) is a city in Laurens County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 8,091 at the 2000 census. Clinton was first settled by Scotch-Irish immigrants two decades before the American Revolutionary War.
