East Greenwich is a town in Kent County, Rhode Island, United States. The population was 12,948 at the 2000 census. It is the wealthiest municipality in Rhode Island and is one of only two jurisdictions in Rhode Island to cast a majority of its votes for George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential election, being one of the only Republican towns in the state of Rhode Island.
