Henderson is the fastest-growing large city (over 150,000 pop.) in the United States. Henderson is in Clark County, Nevada, five miles southeast of Las Vegas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 175,381. The latest Census estimate (2004) placed the population at 224,829. The city's planning and development department estimates the population at 249,800 as of 2006.
Henderson is home to Nevada State College.
