Eastport is a city in Washington County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,640 at the 2000 census.
Eastport, Maine is the easternmost city (although nearby Lubec, Maine is the easternmost municipality) in the United States. It is also home of Old Sow, the largest whirlpool in the western hemisphere.Eastport is most notably known as the first place in the United States to see the sunrise.
