Marion is a city in Grant County, Indiana, United States. The population was 31,320 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Grant CountyGR6. It is named for Francis Marion, a Brigadier General from South Carolina in the American Revolutionary War.
Since 2003, former Olympic skater Wayne Seybold has been Marion's mayor.
