Your Favorite Random Kitchen Gadgets
I am a sucker for any sort of kitchen gadget that a) will somehow turn me into a fantastic cook, b) will save me time, and c) looks cute. As a result, I have far too much stuff stashed inside of my cabinets and in my drawers. It's time to simplify and keep only the essentials! So, tell me: what kitchen gadgets are your favorites? Which do you rely on day in and day out as you cook, bake, or even clean?
Chopper
Since I have terrible knife skills, whenever I’m making something that calls for finely chopped or minced vegetables, I break out my handy chopper. It’s kind of a pain to clean (I break the rules and put mine in the dishwasher), but it works great!
You can buy the chopper (as well as hundreds of other awesome gadgets) here.

As seen on TV: The Gator peeler!
I don’t have this (yet), but every time I see the commercial for this on television, I make a mental note that I MUST buy it. Since, you know, I…I…peel so many vegetables!
Pampered Chef Kitchen Spritzer
Love Love Love it for my EVOO…you know…when I am pretending to be Rachel Ray!
Avocado Pitter & Slicer
Because I am indeed that lazy, and the last time I tried the “whack the pit with a knife method” bandages were involved.
Manual Nut Grinder
My mom used this exact one, but in a different color, when us kids were growing up. I loved this “job” when it came to cookie-making! I was so happy to find one a few years ago at a flea market in Maine. I called my mom right away in my excited voice!
Tassimo
I don’t care how much counter space it takes up, I could not live without this device (and am quite shocked that I got through 23 years without it. hmmm).
Without the Tassimo, I might just not even get up in the mornings!

Can Crusher
You can recycle and have fun doing it! I’ve always wanted one of these. Alas, I resort to crushing it with my hand in the mean time.
Quesadilla Maker
Mock if you must (and I do suspect you must) but this is an AMAZING way to get rid of leftovers. Just toss all kinds of ricey or meaty goodness between two tortillas and let magic happen.
Mezza Luna
I’ve been wanting to get one these for a LONG time. They use them on cooking shows all the time (I’ve never actually seen one in a real live kitchen), and they just look like they make mincing SO easy. Plus, I totally love the name— I’m a sucker for all things European.
