If you're touring guests around Los Angeles, Yang Chow is one attraction that you shouldn't miss. If Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pete Carroll, Yao Ming, as well as the Dodgers and Lakers think it's great, then it must be really good. Yang Chow, which opened in 1977, is the home of the famous Slippery Shrimp. This is a must-order dish. Other entrees that you should try: The String Beans with Minced Pork, the House Special Chicken and the Pan Fried Noodles are a winner. Whale has eaten here more than 50 times. Everything on the menu is delicious. One more reason why you should check out Yang Chow: Valet parking is only 75 cents!

I heart Slippery Shrimp

Before Blushing Whale departed on an eight month trip to the East Coast and Europe, he had one last meal at Yang Chow. Whale told one of the managers that they won’t see him for a while. Whale assured them that once he returns to Los Angeles, the first place that he would go to was Yang Chow. Whale shook hands with the manager and lamented that he wouldn’t eat Slippery Shrimp for a long time.
