2008 was a great year for geeky gadgets and accessories. People will try to sell anything! I've collected some of the worst geek-themed accessories I could find. I'm sure you can think of a couple items that make your eyes hurt.
Too Flashy
I chose this solely because I’m not an overly flashy person. As if the gold case wasn’t enough, they added a gold chain and ear buds. It’s not necessary. There’s a little too much bling happening there.
Just Bad
I don’t think this was made in 2008, but I had to include it. I’ve seen it a lot lately and I think it’s the dumbest thing ever. What’s the point? By now most people know that it’s just a trick and it’s really a flash drive. I guess you could fool your mom and dad if they’re not tech-savvy. But I’m keeping it on the worst list.
Too Many Bad Memories
Seriously? The last thing I want to think of when I look down at my fingers is the periodic table. Chemistry wasn’t a good subject for me. I don’t want to go back to that dark place again.
Too Ridiculous
I love Etsy. Those people can create some adorable and practical items – many of which I own. What will I not be purchasing? BlackBerry earrings or any earrings that say Pwnd, LOL, WTF or any other Internet slang.
Too Ugly
I’m sorry to all Star Wars lovers out there. These had to make my list. I’m a strict blue and white lights kind of gal. If I don’t love multi-colored strands, do you really think I’d like these Yoda lights? The answer is no. My tree will already be embarrassing enough with the ornaments I made in grade school.
The only thing worse than air drums is.....
an electronic T-SHIRT drum set.
