I loved my lovely rural university in the middle of New Hampshire. It was so pretty and peaceful. But after 4 years of squirrels, trees, and farms, I was ready for some city surroundings. So, I packed up my bags and moved to Boston. And haven’t really looked back.

Yes, I wanted a city, but not a crazy, “it takes 12 hours to get anywhere and you’re lucky if you can make it a day without wanting to murder someone” city. I have always loved New York City, but it’s a little too crazy for me. There’s nothing worse than trying to walk what should be a quick 10 minute walk and have it take an hour because there are way too many people on the streets.

Boston’s a city, but there’s also room to walk on the sidewalks. Unless there’s a Red Sox game and you’re in Kenmore Square.
