What is a reasonable and safe response?
The best way to deal with mold is to prevent it from happening. If the drying of wet building materials is commenced within 24 hours (assuming clean water), the chances of preventing mold growth are excellent. If building materials remain wet, it is inevitable that mold will start to grow. Therefore, addressing and eliminating moisture problems is the critical first step. once mold is present, drying is not enough. Moldy materials must be either removed or decontaminated. This process is called remediation, which means “to remedy” or “to cure.” Proper remediation procedures will be determined by the size, scope and nature of the mold contamination.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published a helpful guidebook for homeowners about the cleanup and prevention of mold problems in homes. This booklet, entitled A Brief Guide to Mold, Moisture and Your Home, can help you decide when you can handle mold cleanup yourself and when you should call a professional.
Restore Your Home -Say Goodbye To The Flood Damage
While every situation is different, most water-related emergencies follow a similar pattern. We use a five-stage diamond system to minimize the damage and get repairs underway quickly!
Stage One
Within 15 minutes of your call, our experienced consultant will discuss your emergency with you and provide advice on steps you can take to minimize the damage while our team of certified, specially trained clean-up technicians is on its way to your home.
Stage Two
On arrival, the Water Damage Coral Springs technicians will immediately use our extraction system to eliminate any freestanding water quickly. Then they will extract excess water from carpets, upholstery, and padding. If necessary, they will remove the carpet and padding for replacement.
Stage Three
Our experienced technicians will apply non-toxic, organic cleansers to thoroughly clean, disinfect and dry all salvageable carpets, padding and upholstery. When it is safe to do so, they will reinstall these items in your home.
Stage Four
The technicians then use special equipment to ensure a controlled drying process designed to minimize further water damage or any microbial growth. This process is carefully monitored until it is complete.
Stage Five
At the end of the project, our professional technicians will conduct a thorough inspection with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied.

What to do if you have water damage
• Immediately determine where the water is coming from and secure the broken part. Turn off your main water valve if you cannot determine what is leaking. The main water valve is usually located near the street.
• Save the broken or damaged part for your insurance company.
• If the outside temperature is above 60 degrees, use dehumidifiers if available.
• Use fans to circulate the air and assist drying.
• Remove as much water as possible by mopping and blotting.
• Wipe furniture dry.
• Lift draperies off carpet, loop through a coat hanger, and place the hanger on the drapery rod.
• Prop up wet furniture cushions for even drying and place small wood blocks or aluminum foil under furniture legs.
• Remove wet area rugs or other floor coverings.
• Move photos, paintings, art objects and firearms to a safe, dry location.
• Remove wet fabrics and dry them as soon as possible. Hang furs and leather goods to dry separately at room temperature.
• Remove damp books from shelves and spread out to dry.
• If damage occurs during a cool season, leave heat on; if in summer, use an air conditioner if available.
• We take photos of your loss from start to finish. But taking photos of your property and belongings for your own records is highly recommended.
