I'm not really a morning person. At all. But five days a week I've got to get up for work on time. Here are some weird new ways to wake up in the morning.
Puzzle Alarm Clock
When it’s time to get up, this alarm not only goes off, it launches four puzzle pieces all over your bedside table. It turns off when you put them back. Knowing my luck, it would launch pieces under my bed, behind the table and into a half- empty teacup too.

My vote:
Not worth it. Especially at nearly a hundred dollars. Either the pieces won’t fly far enough and be too easy to return or they’ll end up in the world’s most inconvenient locations.
Flying Alarm Clock
Alarm goes off, a little propeller key goes flying away and you’ve got to put it back before the sound turns off. This reminds me of the Sky Dancers of my childhood, where the resultant injuries prompted a recall.

No way. I’m still cautious of flying plastic objects. Especially when they launch that close to my face.
Clocky
A less deadly form of the moving alarm clock, Clocky has wheels and just suicide-jumps off the bedside table before rolling to some distant corner. Granted, that could be to right under the bed, but it’s just too cool.

glo Pillow
LED-filled, the pillow begins to glow about 40 minutes before wake-up time. This actually sounds like a relatively pleasant way to start the day. Sadly, it’s not in production, yet, and I’d bet it’s going to be pretty costly.

Cell Phone Wine Glass
I said it in my Late Night Activities guide, but I’ll say it again. No. I will not have jagged glass anywhere near me when I’m waking up. Not even if it amplifies the sound of the cell phone alarm.
