Alligators in the sewers

Believe it or not, this was true at one point. During the 1930s to 1960s, owning baby alligators was all the rage for a New York. Even Macy’s used to sell them. Of course, childhood boredom eventually took over and the gator got flushed down the toilet. Guess what happened? They got bigger. A few years later, reports surfaced of gator appearances and captures. Since then, the sewers have been clean.

Bar Codes Hold The Secret

Can you tell a defective or hazardous product by cracking the first three lines of a bar code? Nope, not in the U.S. anyway. While this is true for international bar codes, U.S. bar codes simply say that the bar code was in fact printed in the U.S.
