Twister

You may think that Twister is an old, boring game for little kids. Don't be fooled. Twister requires expert hand-eye coordination skills as well as gymnastic-level flexibility, goalie-high reaction speed and a very, very keen sense of color vision. Usually, you play on a small white mat that has different colored spots all over it--red, yellow, blue and green. One person is elected the spinner and must spin a dial on a color wheel and announce what it has landed on--this could be right hand yellow or left foot red. Each person participating then places the correct limb on the correct colored spot. The tricky part comes when you have your right hand on yellow but you need your left foot and left hand on yellow too. Or, one of your competitors, pounces on a spot you need before you are able to make it yours. Sometimes there is hair pulling and teeth grinding, and occasionally some profanities are used. Once a person falls, meaning their knees, torso or head hits the ground, they are out. The rest of the players play on. In the end, one person wins. Then the fun begins all over again. This game is not just for children. It is for adults and little ones alike, and believe me, can be used with alcohol as a very nice ice breaker to an evening. It can be found at your local Target, Walmart or other game store.
