Tips: Early in the evening, the dining area is filled with older couples and groups celebrating special occasions, but the place comes to life after 9pm.

You cant beat Jax, been going ther for 20 years and the food and service is impeccable, not to mention their beautiful terrace with a trout pond! Very romantic and quaint.

Located in the historic Foshay tower, Manny’s puts a modern spin on the old-school steakhouse.

Tips: Besides a notable wine list offering bottles in the thousands of dollars, the martinis mixed here could be the best in the Cities. Don’t miss Manny’s brilliant lemon drop martini.

Straightforward American food at one of suburbia’s prime special-occasion spots.

Tips: The specialty, prime rib, sometimes runs out on weekend nights. If that’s what you want, make an early reservation (and always, at least two weeks in advance).

Traditional with a hint of gauche, this French-style eatery indulges the swanky 50th and France crowd.
