Luxury Timber Frame Homes is the Mountains of Western North Carolina

Come Visit the Mountains of Western North Carolina

Franklin is located between two popular scenic gorges, the Cullasaja and the Nantahala.  The Cullasaja takes some spectacular spills creating lower Cullasaja Falls.  Take a walk behind the roaring 75 foot wall of water of Dry Falls.  The mountainscape is lined with many hiking trails, including the famous Appalachian and Bartram Trails.

Franklin also is home to the Little Tennessee River Greenway, one of more than a thousand such trails snaking their way across  America turning old canals, abandoned rail beds and forgotten riverbanks into green recreational corridors. You can walk or bike for miles along the paved Greenway in Franklin.

Nestled in the southwestern corner of North Carolina, Franklin serves as the southern gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains and Great Smokies.  It’s convenient location to major cities make Franklin a favorite retirement and relocation spot for people of all ages.  Atlanta, Georgia is just two hours to the south while Asheville, is one hour to the east.  Other cities nearby include Highlands, Cashiers, Dillsboro, & Sylva, all within about 30 minutes.

Our two luxury timber frame rental homes are perfect for quiet weekends, family reunions, or vacations with family & friends.  Both homes feature an outdoor fireplace.  The Pond House sleeps 2-6 with views of the mountains from almost every room.  The Cottage house sleeps 2-10 and sits in the woods with a small natural stream meandering through the property.   Private, upscale rustic furnishings, all the comforts of home.  Base all your mountain activities from here – hike, raft/canoe, scenic mountain drives, waterfalls, fly fishing, or try your hand at gem mining.    Features:  Fully equipped kitchens, linens, paper products, washer/dryer, gas grills, indoor & outdoor fireplaces, paved road access to gravel drives (4×4 not needed).
