Common things to compare with gas

Everyone is whining about the cost of gas.  Here are somethings to compare:

  1. Soda from vending machine (.75 cents/can)  :  $8 /gallon
  2. Bottled Water  ($1.50 for 20 oz.) : $9.50 /gallon
  3. Ben and Jerry’s ( $3.99 / pint ) : $31.92 / gallon
  4. Corn Syrup ($5.79 / quart)  : $23.16 /gallon 
  5. Milk  : $3.49 / gallon
  6. Paint : approx. $30 / gallon
