They Can't All Be Brian Wilson...

Scott Weiland, former lead singer of STP and Velvet Revolver, announced this week that he is working on a follow-up to his 1998 solo effort 12 BAR BLUES. Weiland has already said it won't be a record for everyone, being a two-disc study on his failed marriage (and I imagine recurring substance abuse). If this guy can find time to put out a solo album, I'm just wondering who else out there should honestly contemplate a stand-alone venture.

Ted Leo

Yes, he did put his name in his own band this time around, but still you can’t help but think that Ted Leo has got something else up his sleeve. Acoustic folk album, maybe?

Gary Cherone

You definitely have to have a special kind of something to lose the job of lead singer for Van Halen after ONE album. So what ever did happen to the guy from Extreme? How about an weepy break-up album?

Any of the guys from 98 Degrees
