I have boycotted Starbucks for several years now. Why? 1- I am just sick of seeing them everywhere 2- They are WAY overpriced 3- Their coffee just isn't that great Plus there is just something special about the uniqueness of neighborhood coffee shops.

This has to be my absolute favorite place to go when I want to have a bite to eat, on the healthier side, and have a nice big chai latte. They have board games you can play, books you can borrow to read and have live entertainment on some evenings. The outdoor seating is ideal for those perfect weather days that are frequent in Orange County. A fantastic place to go when meeting a friend or a date but not suggested for large groups.

Coffee with an accent? Si per favore. Fantastic coffee, amazing cannoli and wonderful outdoor sitting area. It also never hurts to be greeted with a jovial “Buongiorno/Buonasera bellissima”.

Not only is the coffee fantastic and the baristas can froth milk like nobody’s business, but the owner is often seeing ringing in customer orders, yesterday I saw him cleaning out the bussing station. How often do you see that happen, let alone done by a manager? The staff is all so friendly and not smug, tattooed & pierced like so many other places. If you are ever in the Costa Mesa/ Newport Beach, CA area, check it out.

I heard that Starbucks is shutting down hundreds of its stores because of your post! ;) Ok, probably not only because of your post, but that news is enjoyable!
