In case this is the first website you've checked in a few years or you haven't noticed the slow death of print media, I should point out that there are lots and lots of blogs. Lately, I've become partial to focused blogs that have ridiculous, specific themes. These are some of my favorites. To the more industrious among you: It seems starting a blog like this is a one-way ticket to a book deal. Take note.
Cake Wrecks
Cake Wrecks is a blog that showcases the worst cakes the owner can track down. Like many of the blogs in this guide, there’s something oddly hilarious about this. Cakes are festive. Being an idiot and creating a stupid cake is the opposite of festive. Incongruency!
Chuck Norris is no longer funny, sure, but cakes are funny and this looks so little like Chuck Norris that it barely even qualifies as a Chuck Norris joke.
News Media Clichés That Should Be Banned For Life
This blog bills itself as a “collection of reviled news media clichés.” As someone who fancies himself a sometime member of the news media, I am forced to find this interesting. Maybe you will as well.
The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks
This is one of the first hilarious theme-blogs I recall discovering, and it’s still one of my favorites. It collects pictures of notes and signs that misuse quotation marks for what is usually no apparent “reason.” See what I did there? I’m a bloody genius.

Joe Mathlete Explains Today's Marmaduke
Every day, Joe Mathlete posts a Marmaduke cartoon and explains the joke. It usually revolves around Marmaduke being a jerk or simple repeating the caption of the strip. A simple idea, to be sure, but hilarious results abound.
Passive Aggressive Notes
A compendium of, you guessed it, lame passive-aggressive notes from around the world. Many of these are really funny, but if you read them for too long you just end up getting aggravated.
It is nasty, she’s right.
Literally a "Web" "Log"
In a similar vein to the Unncessary Quotation Marks blog, this chronicles every misuse of the word “literally” it can track down. This doesn’t come off as hilariously as the quotation blog does, though, and is another one that can get infuriating if you read it for too long.
Stall Wall Poetry
Photographs of the finest in bathroom stall graffiti. Not all of it is the typical x-rated fare, though, and the pointless racism/misogyny is often excluded entirely. This site leans more toward the clever, and the reader is much better off for it.

Bad Parking
Pictures of bad parking. Double parking, parking way too far off the curb, blocking people in, you name it. Everyone can identify. All the classics are represented. I actually think my favorite part about this blog are the people who take pictures of park jobs that aren’t even that bad and feel the need to submit it somewhere for publication.
Haha, look at that jerk.
Suicide Food
A blog that depicts live animals featured in the signage for fast food or barbecue restaurants. The pictures or logos are then rated in terms of how fervently the animal seems to be endorsing its own death.
The agonized-but-happy looks on the pig and cow’s faces suggest there was a loaded gun out of frame.
Appropriately Named
A directory of people who are named appropriately (or humorously inappropriately) for what they do. A book called “The Philosophy of Risk” by John C. Chicken. That kind of thing.
Fanny Pack Antics
Pictures of tourists being jerky all over the world. Hating tourists is one of the world’s favorite pastimes, and this is a website that celebrates that. I like it when the internet is used to bring people together instead of dividing them with robotic precision between those who like the Playstation 3 and those who like the Xbox 360.

Postcards From Yo Momma
I just put off writing this description for about fifteen minutes while I read through these. It’s just a collection of hilarious correspondences that people have with their mothers over the internet. If you only click through on one of these blogs, I humbly request that it be this one.
Curious Signs
A good old-fashioned collection of confusing signs. Just like the collections of confusing signs your grandmother probably read. Nothing fancy. A lot of these are particularly great, though, and deviate significantly from the standard fare your coworkers have been forwarding you since 1998.

Crummy Church Signs
A close cousin to the Curious Signs blog, Crummy Church Signs says what it does and does what it says. I’m sure everyone has seen some CCS’s in their day, and even the more religious among us can certainly agree that there’s a hell of a lot of humor to be found here.
