Whether you love it or hate it, the 16th Street Mall in Denver is hard to avoid when you are running around downtown. But, if you plan a little and take a closer look, it's really pretty cool and you shouldn't leave all the fun for the tourists.

Feeling a little romantic? Why not see the lights up close and listen to the clippity clop of horse’s hooves. Nothin screams romance like a horse and carraige ride. Most rides come equipped with a cozy blanket to cuddle under, but be sure to have your mittens and ear muffs ready too. Honey, it’s cold outside!

If there is one thing you will have no trouble finding, it’s a hot dog stand on 16th St. But be sure to seek out Biker Jim’s if you want something that will really make you question your cooking skills at home. This cart sells out of the ordinary hotdogs made of reindeer, elk, brat, and Louisiana hot to name a few, and they are out of this world!

How many places do you know of that offer free public transportation? Well, look no further. Stop at any one of the numerous shuttle stops and hop on board when the bus comes your way. Each stop is announced before you get off, and you can ride all the way up and back for zero dollars. This is a good thing, people. Save your money for when you get off.
