Stuck Inside on a SNOW DAY?!? Get adventurous.
A huge snow storm hit yesterday and most schools in Colorado were closed for the rest of the week! My initial thought was "SNOW DAY! WOOO!" until me and my boyfriend were trapped in his house with a whole lot of absolutely NOTHING to do. Since it was way too windy to go play in the snow, we combined our creative minds and had a very adventurous inside playing day :) There's nothing wrong with acting a little childish sometimes. Here's some ideas for when you're stuck inside and have little options of fun! :)
CAUTION: READ WITH AN OPEN MIND.
This may not be how you go about your snow day, but keep an open mind and learn to be more adventurous!
1st: Build a Fort!
Sure, this is something you did with the babysitter when you were 6. But let me just tell you what… it’s so much more fun than watching re- runs of That 70’s Show… over… and over… and over.
Here’s some helpful steps in case this was one of those childhood things you missed out on…
- Set up chairs in a pattern of choice.
- Get as many blankets as possible and load them up
- Sometimes the folding under technique works but sometimes tape is required to keep the blankets in place.
- Fill the inside with pillows … andddddd
- VOILA!
Okay well these guys went as far as stapling the walls! thats extremeeeeeeeeeeeeee. But check it. How does that not look entertaining?
3rd: Work It Off!
After eating those cookie sammies, we felt a little overweight. So we held a wrestling tournament in our fort!
Unfortunately, I lost and so did our fort. Wrestling in your homemade fort is not advised. Unless you need a more adventurous way of taking it down…
Get a mask like this guy...
2nd: Cookie Sammies!
Once your fort is built, you need something to do in it! Like little kids, we wanted cookies! So we invented the most amazing cookie sandwhich ever! and then named it The Cookie Sammie :)
Step 2: The Fillings
peanut butter goes on the bottom.
marshmellow fluffffffff! This brings me back
gotta have the chocolate sprinkles!
Step 3: Close it with a cookie!
Thats a cookie sammie:)
