If the idea of blood sausage makes you nervous, like it does me, give it another solid effort in Txori. Tucked in Belltown in a location that could easily be walked by and missed, you will find San Sebastian Style Pintxos worth NOT missing. Pintxos, in the Basque region, are known as a slice of bread with fixings piled on top, and affixed with a stick to hold in place. Typically an appetizer to be eaten with wine, Txori offers a gracious enough menu to provide you a meal of small plates, as well as a full bar. And, for those not seeking a conservative Chicken assortment of small plates, a lineup of Duck, Anchovies, Mussels, Squid, Octopus, Oxtail and of course, Blood Sausage, will be provided. Intimate seating at small tables for sharing with friends, or a date, gives Txori a local cafe coziness. Txori offers a friendly atmosphere with personable staff, simplistic design and cheery artwork, keeping any diner's meal enjoyable and relaxing. And, highly recommend to anyone who enters their red door, don't be shy of the Kalimotxo. A nice caffeine punch . . . the Basque region's own idea of the Vodka Red Bull.
