Before these slaptastic accessories were ripped from your wrist and banned from your school, you wore them proudly in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Although, what you might not know is that these fad accessories were created by a teacher from Wisconsin. I wonder if he created these to get back at his students that pulled pranks in his classroom? I mean they were made with layers of flexible stainless steel spring bands sealed with a thin fabric cover. Ouch! Although the pain behind the slap was well worth it. What was your favorite slap bracelet?

Sadly I cannot find a picture, but I had a ruler slap bracelet, which I thought was a GENIUS solution to my measurement problems in the event that I forgot my real ruler that day. It had hearts and stars on the main side and a ruler on the other side. The only problem is that when you tried to measure something, it flipped up on itself.
