Rules of the Road: They're more like guidelines really
Driving has got to be one of the most stressful parts of my day. I hate traffic. It makes me dislike people. But that's not the point of this. I'm curious what rules of the road you break. We're all guilty of them. You'd be surprised what people do when they think no one is watching.
Turn Signals
I’m usually an abuser of turn signals. Even at night when the streets are empty and no one is in front or behind me I still use my turn signal. However, lately I’ve been known to ditch the signal all together. Gasp! I know! Write me up!
Road Rage
I have a mean case of road rage! I cringe, yell, wave my hands, swear, honk and occasionally flip the bird. I go extra slow when you’re riding my tail and ride yours when you’re going too slow (yeah, I’m a driving contradiction.) The worst is when someone is going 10-15 below the speed limit. I go out of my way to make sure you can’t get into my lane. I’ve been waiting in line…why shouldn’t you?
Speeding
It’s difficult getting off of the expressway where you’re driving 60-70 mph and then slowing down to 35 mph. Even 50 feels too slow at times. I’m not saying I’m a speed racer, but I have been known to go above and beyond the limit a time or two…or 40.
Some people think it's funny to run over safety cones
I don’t think this is funny at all. I mean, you could have just killed the “Tuesday Afternoon Safety Cone Play Date” you see here. Not cool.
