A road less traveled enjoyable local day trips!

My family took a nice day trip on a road less traveled. We headed north out of Toledo, Wa on Interstate 5 towards Chehalis. Exiting Interstate 5 at exit 77 head west on State route 6 towards Pe Ell and Raymond. Our first stop was a beautiful state park. Rainbow Falls State Park is a 139-acre camping park with 3,400 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Chehalis River. Situated in stands of old-growth forest, the park features a waterfall and a small fuchsia garden. Nice walking trails, campgrounds and picnic areas. There we had the pleasure to meet Louise Bales and her daughter Katie. Owners and operators of B+W Foods Cafe and Convenience store. Located in downtown Lebam, Wa approximately 40 mins from Chehalis, WA B+W Foods offers a nice menu for a quick lunch or breakfast and a enjoyable shopping experience. B+W also offers plenty of large vehicle parking across the street.
