Required Documents
First-Time Voters
If voting for the first time in the state of Colorado, you must attach a copy of one of these to your voter registration form. Any form of identification with an address must have a Colorado address to be valid.
Valid Colorado driver’s license
Valid Department of Revenue identification card
Valid U.S. passport
Valid U.S. government or Colorado government employee identification card
Valid FAA or other U.S. authorized agency pilot’s licenseValid U.S. military identification card, with photograph
Valid Medicare or Medicaid card
Certified copy of a U.S. birth certificate
Certified documentation of naturalization
Copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document containing your name and address
Returning Voters
If not voting for the first time in the state of Colorado, but opting for a mail-in ballot or change of address, you must provide one of the following numbers:
Valid Colorado driver’s license number
Valid Colorado Department of Revenue identification number
The last four digits of your Social Security number
