Pretend to be British in NYC
I'm not British... but I secretly wish I were. If you love "Love Actually," Katie Price, strong cider and/or those wonderful accents, here you go.
My favorite place to pick up OK! UK, Heat, Now, Tatler, etc.

A little British grocery store for all your needs. They carry such wonderful items as Strongbow, Jammie Dodgers, scone mix… and they sell amazing fresh products as well. Definitely try a pork pie!

Sometimes, you just want to go and have a drink at a slightly dark, slightly dodgy pub. (I mean this in the best way!) Slaughtered Lamb is right off the W4th Street stop – a great place to go and chill for a few hours.

In this unassuming salon in Gramercy, a great stylist named Mila can give you a gorgeous Pob (that’s “Posh bob”) in minutes. Absolutely phenomenal and wallet-friendly, to boot!

My favorite place to go and sit with a book and a tea. The service can be a bit rude, but hey, this is New York, after all.

Their beer room is absolutely amazing – and you can pick up a chilled four-pack of Strongbow for $8!

A great chip shop in the West Village. Service is a little spotty and there’s not much room to sit, and they’re a little overpriced. However, you can’t beat the authenticity and deliciousness of their fish and chips doused with a good helping of malt vinegar.
