Thank you very much Mr. Roboto
A recent guide I wrote discussed ways to survive launching a newspaper, one of them being thinking about robots. Robots make me laugh. Laughter keeps me happy. A happy Jenn means more work gets done. Do you see where this is going? If I had a robot, I'd make it do all sorts of cool things, such as pet my cats, jumping jacks and hula hoop. I might even throw in some limbo if I'm feeling dangerous! But since I don't have a robot, I'll have to settle for store-bought replacements. Here are a few of my favorites...
You know when someone is trying to hide and they pick an obvious spot like behind a plant or beneath a lamp shade? This reminds me of that! It’s like Mr. Robot was just hanging out in your crib, watching your TVs and playing with your stuff when suddenly, the door opens up and he has to hide! Where does he go?! Under the lamp shade of course!
Oh let’s face it, bathrooms are boring! Let’s spice it up a bit by adding a robot toilet paper holder. It allows you to entertain yourself while using the toilet as well. How you ask? You can fold the toilet paper into different shapes and give your robot a different tongue. It also gives you an excuse to sing “Thank you very much Mr. Roboto…”
I don’t care what anyone says, Roomba is a robot. Sure it’s a vacuum, but I’m convinced that when no one is paying attention that thing reads books, does the dishes and brushes its little robot teeth.
It also doubles as transportation for your pets! Watch the video. If you don’t smile, you’re soulless.
Je suis la robo!
This is classic. I desperately want to get into a robot fight. If you ever find yourself in this situation, be sure you don’t look into his eyes!
Robo Keys!
It’d be ridiculous owning these because I’d burst into a fit of giggles every time I saw my keys. He kind of has crazy caffeine eyes!
I’ll own these one day.
I don’t use tissue box covers, but I’d be willing to change my ways for this little guy. You walk into a bathroom and it looks like any other bathroom you’ve ever seen. You walk into a bathroom with a robot handing you a tissue and you’ve just walked into a room of awesome.
He doesn’t say “bless you,” but I’m still willing to shell out the $25 for this little guy. I know…I’m a sucker.
Tokibot Robot Clock
This robot clock has movable arms and legs. Do you know how much fun I’d have with this little guy?! A lot! He’s the perfect size for my nightstand or desk. I wouldn’t mind staring at that cute face all day either. Oh yeah…I forgot…he’s a clock, so you can tell time and stuff.
Movable arms and legs!!!
I keep my toothbrush stored in our medicine cabinet. Every morning I worry that it’s going to fall out onto the floor when I open the door. That wouldn’t happen if I had a little robot buddy holding it for me. Think about it, robo buddy would hang onto that toothbrush and make it feel so comfortable and secure. He’ll even take care of your razor. Just be sure you grab the right one!
It's alive!!!
If I had this robotic pencil sharpener I would have been the coolest kid ever. The idea is genius. You open up his chest (cool!), stick your pencil in and sharpen, then take it out and watch him walk. If you want to show him off, but don’t have a pencil handy, just use the key that he comes with.
8-bit decals invade your workspace! Watch out! I love wall decals, but I haven’t found anything that I could live with on my wall for more than a week. However, I’m tempted to grab these guys and put them all over my apartment.
I’m pretty sure you’d be called a geek by your friends or roommate, but they’re just jealous they didn’t think of it first!

Ice Invaders Ice Tray
Space invaders in my glass of water? Yes please! These little suckers are $8 and are essential to have in any freezer.
