For those of you that think the STEELERS SUCK this guide is for you.

Raise your hand if you think the Pittsburgh Steelers suck. How could someone not hate the Pittsburgh Steelers?!? After all, no other team has won more than 5 super bowls and has the leagues no.1 defense? Pittsburgh was the first team to win 4 Super Bowls and tacked on a fifth one in 2006.  This ties them with the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers for the most Super Bowl victories. As for the defense, they have the 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, James Harrison.

After February 1, 2009 only one other team will have more Super Bowl appearances, the Dallas Cowboys with an impressive 8 appearances.

Still think the Steelers suck? Well, The Pittsburgh Steelers have never had a perfect season. Only one team lives up to that reputation, the ’72 Miami Dolphins. New England thinks their 2007 team earned the right to knock off the Dolphins. BULL$#!*, you were caught filming the “calls” of the opposing team. In other words, you cheated. So, get over it.

Pittsburgh has never had the worst season. The 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers can keep that all to themselves, 0-14. Ouch!!!

Unlike the Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New Orleans Saints who have never played in the Super Bowl, the Steelers have made 6 appearances…soon to be 7 on February 1, 2009.

Red-headed Stepchild

Everyone knows that the fans make the team and vice versa, so which fans are there through the thick and thin?!?

Houston was so lame that they packed up the Oilers and shipped off to Tennessee to become the Titans.

Baltimore, you have no room to talk. After the moving vans packed up and moved the Colts to Indianapolis you realized what a stupid mistake you made. To make up for it, you stooped to a new low. You attempted to buy the Browns from Cleveland. However, Cleveland took your ass to court,  keeping the Browns in Cleveland. It wasn’t until the late 90’s that you were able to sucker an expansion team to play in your town, again.

The Cardinals, on the other hand, can’t find a home to live in.  They are the oldest continuously run professional football team. But, they’ve not always been in Arizona. The Cardinals have been passed around (like a stepchild) from Chicago to St. Louis to Arizona. Where to next?

Morons

What sucks are those who think the Steelers logo represents the three rivers flowing through Pittsburgh. Hello, Pittsburgh "STEEL"ers. HINTHINT…Pittsburgh (a.k.a. the STEEL city).

The logo is based on the Steelmark logo belonging to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). It represents the steel industry as a whole. The three diamond shapes are the materials used to produce steel: yellow for coal, orange for ore and blue for steel scrap. So, there you have it. Is any of this sinking through your thick skull?!?

The stadium also has hosted the occasional soccer game and music concert, including past performances from the likes of 'N Sync and other high-profile acts.

Terrible Towel

Created in 1975 by then Steelers radio broadcaster Myron Cope, the Towel has since become “arguably the best-known fan symbol of any major pro sports team”.

Cold-hearted

Proceeds from sales of the Terrible Towel have raised over $2 million for a Pennsylvania school which cares for people with mental retardation and physical disabilities.

Endorsed by our president

The Terrible Towel is credited with being the first “rally towel” and its success has given rise to similar products promoting other teams.

So, there you have it. Like the saying goes, When you’re on top, everyone wants to knock you off. I know, it sucks. But, someone has to do it. In the NFL that would be the Pittsburgh Steelers.
