What Would You Name Your Band?

Since pretty much everyone is a rock star these days (thanks to Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Wii Music, etc...), there's really no reason why you shouldn't be thinking of possible names for your band. Would you start a death metal band called Spoiled Milk? Or would start a 50's Doo-wop group called (insert your name here) and the Squeaky Cleaners. I'm sure you can all come up with MUCH better names than I just did, so let the band naming games begin!

Ok, so I admit I haven’t read this book, but when I saw the title I thought it would be a pretty cool name for a band.

Thirty-Ought Six

This band name comes from the title of a Tom Waits song called 16 Shells From a Thirty-Ought Six. Come to think of it, there are a couple other good band names that could be gleaned from Tom Waits: Fish & Bird, Goodnight Irene, Grapefruit Moon, Clang Boom Steam…

Les Cerfs-Volants

I think pretty much any word in French would make for a pretty good band name. Les Cerfs-Volants, for example, means The Kites— it totally sounds like something more serious, like the violent surfs or something like that. .
