"The worst day fishing is better than the best day working." Fast becoming an annual tradition for me is a trip to the Frying Pan River for a little rest and relaxation. The Frying Pan River flows near the town of Basalt, Colorado and is fed by the Ruedi Reservoir system. Ruedi Reservoir itself is located about 14 miles east of the town of Basalt in the Fryingpan River Valley. It is accessed from State Highway 82 on Fryingpan Road, Forest Service Road #104.
